Take the F-4E Phantom into a fictional 1985 war over Northern Scandinavia with NATO’s Task Force Northern Defenders.
The campaign
Outnumbered. Outgunned. Not defeated.
1985. Following a sudden change in the Soviet leadership, the USSR abandons détente and launches a full-scale invasion of Western Europe. West Germany falls within days, and most of the German Air Force is destroyed on the ground. Only a handful of squadrons escape to the United Kingdom, where they regroup for NATO’s final stand.
With Central Europe in flames, the Soviet war machine turns north. Its objective is to seize control of Scandinavia and the North Atlantic, cut NATO’s supply routes and force the West into submission.
In a desperate effort to stop the advance, NATO forms Task Force Northern Defenders: a coalition of land, sea and air units from across the alliance. Among them are the remnants of the German Air Force, hastily reformed and thrown back into battle.
As an F-4 Phantom pilot, you will fly high-risk missions ranging from air superiority and low-level strike operations to close air support, fighting to hold the line and push the Soviet forces back.
