Fly a series of helicopter operations as NATO stops the advance through the Fulda Gap and begins to take back the initiative.
The campaign
The first turning point
Beginning on 21 May 1985, Heli Ops 85 returns to the Fulda Gap immediately after the opening phase of the war. Operations across several helicopter types show the battle from a new perspective as NATO struggles to hold the line.
From transport and battlefield support to direct attacks, the campaign follows the moment when the Warsaw Pact advance is finally stopped in the Fulda sector and NATO begins its first offensive operations.
The UH-1H, AH-64D Apache and CH-47F Chinook are planned, with the SA342 Gazelle under consideration. Mission scope and release details will follow as development progresses.
